Omer Zabit is a Partner at Shorooq, leading the firm’s Venture Capital practice across UAE, Qatar, and a few other frontier markets. He spent 5+ years at Careem in commercial leadership roles that include leading their food delivery business across MENAP. Prior to joining Careem, he worked in product & strategy roles in the mobile money space with both Jazzcash & Easypaisa. He earned an MBA from LUMS, and BE from NUST, the leading business & engineering schools in Pakistan. In his free time, he likes to play racquet sports and unwind with his loved ones.
