Tiffany Bain is Principal at the Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF), an evergreen venture capital platform launched by the Government of Dubai to strengthen the emirate’s innovation and investment ecosystem. Anchored by the Dubai Future Foundation and the Dubai International Financial Centre, DFDF invests in early to growth-stage venture capital funds and co-invests alongside them to support high-potential startups. At DFDF, Tiffany oversees value creation for a portfolio of 200+ ventures.
Previously, Tiffany was based in London and headed up innovation for the John Lewis & Waitrose Partnership, a $17bn-revenue UK-based retailer with 80k employees where she oversaw the launch of new ventures and received the prestigious annual Chairman’s Award for extraordinary impact achieved. Prior to this, she was Chief Product Officer for Arriva, a $5bn international mobility company where she developed the blueprint for the company’s product innovation strategy and organisation.
As an intrepreneur, at Blenheim Chalcot, the UK’s largest Venture Builder with $1.5bn AUM, she led the development of an early AI-B2B content generation platform, which was acquired by Contentive. At Pearson, a $5bn EdTech company, she spearheaded the design and launch of a digital-badging platform, Acclaim, for Pearson which used by clients such as Cisco and IBM and was acquired by a competitor 6-years later and then subsequently purchased back by Pearson and is still in operation today.
